Kosala
The Devil Inside
Kosala Gunasinghe’s debut exhibition in Hong Kong explores the notion of inner demons through a series of portraits of prominent Fallen Angels, whose public images have undergone permanent metamorphoses as a result of their own transgressions and temptations.
At the core is a sense of transition derived from the artist’s own experience of moving from a still-developing Sri Lanka to Hong Kong, in particular the cultural journey from a conservative society to a more open one.
